Description

From the Twisted mind of Cody Wojcik comes the Veloxity!  Loosely based on the full-scale Velox Revolution 1, the Veloxity delivers an experience never before available in a foam plane.  As one of the stiffest foam air-frames around, precision tracking, a fast roll rate, wild tumbles, knife edge spins, and other maneuvers normally reserved for wood airplanes are all within the Veloxity's repertoire.  With its consistent roll rate and arrow-straight tracking, the Veloxity may be the best rifle roll trainer out there!  Of course, pull back on the throttle and the Veloxity will 3D with the best of them.  A custom airfoil and carefully chosen moments means that smooth harriers upright, inverted, and rolling are stable and predictable, but not sloppy or imprecise...the Veloxity maintains precision through its whole flight envelope.

Backing up the Veloxity's aerodynamic and structural design is a proven power combo.  Armed to the teeth with the 100 gram Twisted Metal Works "Big Bell" motor, 12x6 prop, and 45 amp ESC, the Veloxity has a power level bordering on irresponsible.  The all new CSP D18M servos now offer great speed and centering with unstoppable torque.  The Veloxity is happy flying on 3S batteries as small as 1300, or as large as 2200 for six solid minutes of high energy insanity.

Aspiring pilots need not fear the Veloxity!  With reduced throws and the throttle pulled back a bit, it's an easy airplane to fly and is extremely predictable.  It's a perfect step between 32" flat foamies and your first balsa bird.  The super strong airframe means that less than perfect landings and the occasional dirt nap will not keep you grounded!  Fly Rc Review

    Veloxity

Posted by Brian on Apr 6th 2020

How many times have your said "I wish my 40% extra flew like my Crack Yak". I ordered the Veloxity to see if that is what the designer did and the answer is that it is somewhere between the two. CONSTRUCTION it is beefy compared to the Crack which will make it even more durable. Easy to assemble and an all around winner PERFORMANCE It flies so well you will laugh as you fly it for the first time. It resists the wind better than any small plane I have seen. It flies heavier than the Crack due to the construction and that is just getting used to it. Capable design makes you wish for more batteries. POWER With the standard power package, it has good power. Flight time with a 2200 MAH was less than the crack with 800 mah. WEAKNESSES - I found the landing gear was not needed, and that is likely personal preference. I fly in the grass and the gear did not last long in those conditions. I like it better without the gear. So it is a good thing to have in the truck.

    thickest EPP

Posted by Seth on Jan 15th 2020

If you are looking at the this page and debating , stop it and click Add to cart. You will not regret it. I haven't measured it but I think EPP thickness is over an inch, I haven't seen an EPP foam this thick anywhere. Especially in a foamy. Quality is next to none. Im putting it together slowly to make sure it comes out as straight as possible. Thickness of EPP kind of makes it pretty straight too, there really isnt too much room for error. I will be using it with a HV setup to get the fastest servo throws possible . Can't wait to test this thing out.

    Great flyer

Great flyer but the landing gear and wheel assembly needs design revision hence my 4 star evaluation. Also precuts for aileron should be carried over from design like the crack yak

    A Spinner

My setup: Leopard .10 Motor using 50 amp ESC with 12 x 6 APC prop using a 3 cell 2200 mah 40c battery yields 488 watts at 44 amps. (I like to overpower) I get 6 to 7 minutes flying time depending how I wring it out. Flying weight on mine was heavy at 32 oz. due to using 48 oz torque metal gear micro servos, larger motor, and larger ESC. This plane's roll rate is like a smear it's so fast. An awesome Twisted Hobbys offering that will please the most demanding 3D pilot. Another fun fun fun 3d machine in my hanger.

    TH 43" EPP Veloxity

This is a fun model to build. Well designed. I can tell it will be able to take the abuse I'm going to give it. But not on purpose that is , it is I just tend to fly into the ground a lot. The first two flights allowed me to fine tune the CG then after that the thing is amazing , so much fun to fly. I think this is the plane that I have looking for for many years to help me improve my 3D skills.

This is my first Twisted Hobbys plane, although I have been watching others in my club fly them. My other planes are all full bodied war birds. Definitely the most challenging build for me, but easily accomplished using the build document and videos

On about the 6th flight, the velcro let loose on the my battery strap and the plane augured in. Broken motor and prop was only damage. I quickly ordered the metal mount and had it within a few days. Unfortunately, I received the wrong one Friday afternoon. They were closed. I received a note on Saturday that the mount had been delivered. I typed back that delivery was quick but they sent the wrong one. I figured I would be calling them Monday. A couple hours later I received another email, from Brad, saying he realize their mistake and the correct mount was in the mail to me. I had it Monday. That happened on the weekend when the business is closed. SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was flying Wednesday. Thank you Twisted Hobbys for a great plane and customer service.

    Awsome plane

This was a quick easy build that fly's much bigger than it is, Harriers feel like my 30% Extra 300, this plane is extremely precise for a foamy and the roll rate is insane. Thanks for this amazing product I will most likely order the 43 edge to go with it soon!!

One of the most perfect foamy that I have flown, precise, floaty , extreme a very wide envelope that big gasser can deliver, this little monster can do it
