Description

The new Crack Pitts evolves from extensive design, combining Crack Yak's formula with F3P biplane expertise and Twisted Hobbys' finesse. Cody Wojcik refines flight for a precise, capable EPP biplane, the best of its kind. Crack Pitts offers smooth, stable aerobatics, while Extra Slick mimics small balsa 3D planes. Compared to Crack Yak, Pitts feels like slow-motion brilliance.

True to Twisted Hobbys' excellence, models feature pre-hinged control surfaces, laser-cut horns, quality printing, and unique EPP construction for lightness and rigidity. Innovative biplane rigidity methods enhance durability without external bracing. Now with HD landing gear for convenience.

    30" Crack Pitts

This is bye far the best rc plane I have ever owned!! I have been flying for 20 years plus and have flown many airplanes. The design and durability of this aircraft are beyond belief. For me it is a 3d trainer and sport plane. It can fly slow and docile or crazy 3d aerobatics. Equiped with an Aura 8 just makes it even better. this is my 2nd one after 4 years+ so I decided to change colors and get rid of the hanger rash. the first is still flying!

Easy build, Great 3D flyer, Easy flyer

Posted by Brian Sharp on Oct 7th 2020

Build: started at 6pm. Purchased the power system, rx and servos Package also. Not use to using the contact cement recommended and It’s definitely way slower than CA glue but the next day it was solid. Completed build following day because of my late start. Build was straightforward and easy. Parts interlock. No issues. Did not install optional landing gear. Maiden flight: 500mAh 3s. 20% expo on Ailerons and elevator. Tons of power. Rolled within 5 seconds of maiden flight and immediately flew it into hardcore 3D maneuvers. It flies with absolute authority. Roll rate at max is blinding or as slow as you want. This birds will fly SLOW! 2nd flight was conducted by my 15 year old daughter. 500 mAh 2s Rates at 50% with 20% expo on all channels. Flies like a trainer. She did basic rolls, loops, wing overs and basic sport aerobatics. Downside: the glue takes longer to work with than CA. Slows down the build but build time was still just a few hours. Upsides: Great foamy, fast, easy build, super fun and easy to fly, does great 3D, is built tough. Daughter and I are giving it 4 thumbs up.

    Amazing plane.

This plane is small enough to fly in small areas. It's big enough to fly in a little wind. It flys fantastic. It does all 3d maneuvers very stable and with ease. It is perfect for anyone . The epp foam is very durable and easily repaired if necessary. I've had several TH planes and this one is by far my favorite so far. It floats so well and slow with the correct CG and the 3s 450m batteries make for a good amount of flying time. Nothing better than a awesome stable flying bipe.

    Crack Pitts M12, Yellow

Again I'm impressed by the detail-oriented design, the fit and finish of all parts. Went together as expected, looks sharp. I enforced the carbon gear struts against the lower wing by cutting and epoxying bamboo sticks in flight direction into the leading edge.

    Crack Pitts

This is a durable easy to build plane. I live in Montana so right now I'm flying it indoors. I've always been partial to biplanes so for me this is a winner. I've been flying the Click for two seasons now and I'm guessing it will not get flown nearly as much now that I have the Pitts. Great job.

    Yet another TH winner

Posted by John on Jun 17th 2017

This was my 4th TH plane, and I am yet again very pleased with it. Great design, excellent material quality, good instructions, and easy build, and a great flying plane. With a TH 1450KV motor, 600 mah 3S battery, and landing gear (with larger, ultralight wheels), mine came out to 8 oz even. I used a moderate amount of Welder glue on it, adding a little more for reinforcement where I though necessary. I did not attach the side force generators, because I don't fly only 3D, and they make any plane fly funky in regular flight, plus this plane does no need them at all. Knife edge flight requires virtually no rudder. Hovering is very stable, and almost effortless. Unfortunately, I couldn't do my maiden flights in zero wind and evaluate the flight characteristics. Lightweight small foam planes do not like wind, and they fly pretty unpredictably in even 5 mph wind. They shine when the wind is dead calm, and I look forward to putting this plane through its paces if I can ever get that kind of weather. I find that this plane, along with every other similar plane (except for the TH F-22), "hunts" for a heading (in all 3 axes) in wind. Control authority is excellent, and it does flies very slowly quite well. Another winner, and TH planes are all I buy anymore.
