Description

Introducing the 39" Crack Yak-55, the long-awaited bigger sibling to our famed model. A new wing core with tapered tips expands the flight envelope, perfect for stronger winds. Enhanced features include a T-Canalizer and optimized SFG placement for impeccable KE stability. This reimagined design builds upon Chris Jewett's iconic 32" version, now intensified in a larger size for even more exhilarating flights.

For those acquainted with previous 39” models, you'll appreciate upgraded hardware and construction methods, including adjustable push rod assemblies and EPP bracing for effortless assembly. The redesigned airframe relocates dual aileron servos for a sleek look. The expanded flight envelope offers unreal control authority and heightened roll rate, thanks to outer counter balance tabs. Ideal for pilots venturing into the "next step" or those preferring a balsa 3D alternative. Spinner not included.

    39" Crack Yac

This is my first 3D plane and first Twisted Hobbies plane. Having a lot of fun and taking it slow. I went to flight test and bought a B pack engine which comes with engine, serves and esc. for 75 dollars. This engine has plenty of power to go vertical and the weight is perfect. You won't regret that purchase. I have flown this plane 20 times and can hover, flat spin slow roll and loop so fast it almost hits its own tail. LOL Great plane... Im not as good as the kid in the video but getting better every time I fly it. And I wish all of my planes landed like this one. 1-3 foot landings. No kidding. Have fun

    As good as it gets

Another one of the winning Twisted Hobbies 3D planes. Straight forward build. The only thing I don't like is the push rods which are so tedious to assemble. I usually just use some .032 wire and EZ connectors on rudder and elevator. I also have the other color scheme. The 39" Yak and the Hacker 540 are my favorite models I can fly at the park in a small area.

This is my 3rd 39". It is the most fun airplane I have owned. 1st one destroyed flying Knife edge into large metal wind vane at high speed. 2nd one destroyed while in long hover another large aircraft flew into me plane was shredded into tiny pieces. I think that's the only way to destroy one. Best plane I have ever owned. Worth the money.

My Crack Yak-55 39" Is the best fun flying than anything I have.

Purchased 39" Crack Yak it was great 3D Fun, Fun, FUN ! Then I flew straight into a iron wind vain. Bad crash at full throttle damage to front was Total. But new pieces of foam from another plane junk yard and a lots of TLC I was back in the air. But I realized I had to get a new one because this poor plane looked like Frankenstein. Building new beauty now. I think this model is almost indestructible.

Amazing performance. Just have to give it 5 stars. The only thing I dont like is that there are no extra small hardware parts and the nuts and screws on the landing gear arent working too well. but these things are minor and I cant get over how crazy this thing is.

    The Best! Simply the Best!

I'm a real Twisted Hobbys fan. I have a stable of Twisted Hobby planes. The 43" Big Beaver, 43" Veloxity, 48" SBach, 33" Clik NG, and five 39" Crack Yak-55's. I listed the foregoing in order of my personal preference for each plane lowest to highest. The Yak 55 is my all time favorite of all of the 30 or so planes that I have owned. My first one was destroyed in a mid air and my second was sold to a friend and I still have 3 of them. I have flown these planes for about a year and a half and purchased them specifically to learn 3D. I have not been disappointed. My 3D abilities have taken a quantum leap with the Yak 55. In some ways I'm the envy of the field now, but still have a long way to go. This plane will do it all so it's a great trainer. A friend just bought one who has been flying a short time. This plane will be gentle with a beginner or do anything that any pilot can put it through. I'm a real fan and intend to never part with these planes. On the downside once the wind is above 7 or 8 mph this plane is done. I have learned flying these planes where it's structural weaknesses are; that is; what will break when it crashes. As a result, I have fortified the plane with tape and welder's glue in strategic places and have even put carbon fiber support on the nose, and a 4mm carbon rod across the top wing surface. The result is phenomenal. I highly recommend this plane to anyone at any level who does 3D
